Brendan Potter's birthday celebrations

We had a great night enjoying the Italian Night at Gosford Golf Club tonight along with the meat raffles and Badge Draw. The Italian Menu was extensive and plenty of it with the added bonus of a slice of Brendan's birthday cake.

By now the most of you would have read the information email sent out to all Member's regarding the financial position of the Club which also advised that Greg Harrison has been appointed as the new Club Treasurer. Greg has also volunteered his time to take on the role of "Operations Manager" between now and the AGM. Greg will effectively be in charge of the running of the Club and a GM will not be appointed at this time.

The Bosrd as a whole will take a more active role in assisting Greg with his duties, and management and staff will be called on to step up and help to get us through this time.

This brings me to the issue of Member involvement - We have had three Members who have put up their hands to join the board which is fantastic news. We rely heavily on volunteer workers at the club
In various forms whether it be Board duties, or within Clubhouse Maintenance, Course Management or Administration Management. Parking Management is an upcoming issue which is currently being addressed which will require assistance to administer.

It is time we asked ourselves not what the Club can do for us - but what can we do for the Club!

Think about this long and hard - we have a great golf course at our disposal. Is it not worth every Member to put their best foot forward to get the Club through this financial issue and turn the Club around.

My contribution is to not cut my hours of volunteer work but indeed try to do more.

What is your contribution going to be???   Greg would love to hear from you.
