Annette Cross celebrating a great golf day
With friends at Gosford Hotel

With Mary Bromwich and Warren Gray at the 1st Tee

Happy ducks in the 3rd dam in the pouring rain today

Our playing partners today were Warren Gray and Mary Bromwich who were great company which we needed when playing through the pouring rain at the 2nd and 3rd holes.  It was tough going for a while until the weather cleared for the last 9 holes.  The boys trounced us for the Keno Ticket with Warren playing a good steady game for the 1st 9 holes and Peter picking up the slack in the 2nd 9. Mary and I were slow starters but were improved players by the second nine.

The Golf a Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.

We had 53 starters with 3 visitors from Massey Park, Pymble and Toukley.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Mary Bromwich parred the 17th and had 4 x 3 pointers; Warren Gray putted well; Peter Martin had some good pars; Joyce Bosley had her best game for 3 months; Neville Walker parred the 18th and was a good steady player; David Small said his highlight was his Sausage and Egg sandwich at yesterday's golf BBQ; Annette Cross had 4/4 at the 13th and the 17th; Carolyn Buttsworth at the 10th hole had a chip out of the bunker  into the hole for 5/4; Team of Foster and Dyer all four had 3/3 at the 14th: The boys beat the girls for the Keno Ticket and George had a gobbler 4/3 at the 15th, Duncan had a 4 pointer at the 13th; Doug Incoll took his 3rd shot out of the bunker, sconed Wally Bailey smack on his head as he was standing on the fairway with no ill effects to Wally who went on to score 4/4 on the 9th; Fay Bailey had a birdie on the 3rd 4/4; Fay Bailey and Robin Incoll have announced that they now intend to share a cart in the future and leave the boys to find their own way; my highlight was that I was an improved player from last week.
