Latest update NSW Breakers - Lauren Smith

http://cricketnsw.com.au/news/nsw-set-265-run-target-to-win-wncl-final/2015-11-29

Click on the above link for the result of NSW Breakers vs SA.

This was not the result they were looking for -  being beaten by SA however Lauren and the NSW Breakers have had a good season.

Congratulations Lauren and the team!

Some interesting golf rules from 1940

And all we ask you to do is fill in your divots and rake the bunkers after use.  We have it so easy these days (unless you are an F-Trooper).

My thanks to David Small for this little gem!

F-Troop - Monday 30th November 2015

We had a massive big clean up day today with all hands on deck contributing well.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Kevin O'Brien, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Garry Trigg, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Jan Martin

The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge and Garry Trigg did undercutting along the 10th and part of the 11th.

Peter Martin and Don Nicholls raked up at the back of the clubhouse including the drain.

Rob Benson and Warren Gray did rubbish pick up around the course.

John Hollebon trimmed the hedge at the 12th Tee and trimmed the camellias at the 11th Tee.

Di Beechey and Anne Burgess did a huge lot of gardening work on the garden at the 2nd green, the garden at the 4th tee and the streletzia garden at the 15th.

I worked on cleaning up the 14th Bush Toilets and started work on trimming the lavender gardens at the 16th, watered the pots in the wedding gazebo and checked the water feature at the 1st Tee.

We really appreciated our morning tea after a hard mornings work.  Thank you Barto!

We removed a massive amount of rubbish from the course today - a lot of it caused by the wild wind during the week.

YES!  WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The Greens staff were kept very busy today cleaning up after the wild wind of yesterday
We have a lot of large branches down which is no real surprise so clean up was the name of the game today. Considering the mess I saw at 7.00am today they did a good job of clean up.

At the 13th Tee

We had two golf events today - both of which were very popular and well supported by our Members.

This morning we had a Medley Event for Men and Ladies and at 4.30pm we had a Shotgun start for and nine hole Single Stableford for Men and Ladies which included a buffet dinner after golf.

It was fantastic to see so many Members at the club tonight. Our Badge Draw worth $2,900 was not won as the unfortunate winner was not at the club at the time of the draw. The draw will jackpot to next Friday night when it will be worth $2,950.  Make sure you are there next week on the off chance that your name will get drawn.  I was there tonight and was lucky enough to have my name drawn out for the month end draw worth $50 where there is a draw from the barrel from the past months raffle tickets.  That was a great highlight for me considering I did not have a lot to brag about in my golf.
We had a lovely evening enjoying the company of Paul and Angelique Scholberg. Angelique had one of her rare games of golf and emerged as a hidden talent - showing great promise as a future regular golfer when time permits.  We hope the Nine and Dine does continue during the warmer months when we can enjoy the benefits of daylight saving and enjoy a good social night as well.  Tonight's raffles included assorted meat trays and Christmas Hams that proved very popular.

The first Golf Event of the day was a Single Medley for Men and Women.
