Golf at Port Douglas - not - Wednesday 23rd June 2010

We are all very disappointed this morning. The beautiful one day and perfect the next has become not so perfect or beautiful. We had 40 knot winds overnight which have settled a little but not enough to make it safe enough to run the tender boats to and from the shore. We have a lovely sunny day but the winds are going to continue so we will have to settle for onboard activities in a sheltered spot.
We will be missing out on our golf game unfortunately & Go Golfing are going to have to figure out how to get our golf clubs back on board the ship. The clubs were road transported from Cairns yesterday so that we did not have to man handle them back & forth yesterday & this morning.
This is one of the unfortunate things with sea travel - there is no control over the weather or the P & O management rulings.
It is Joyce's birthday today so that will give us something to celebrate. Maybe an onboard putting and chipping contest to keep us amused. Maybe a sheltered sun lounge somewhere.
Watch this space for more photos.
