Golf - Sunday 14th July 2013





We had a beautiful day for golf today with the course drying out, blue sky and sunshine.  Unfortunately we had other priorities and could not play today.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.

We had 76 starters with 6 visitors from Kiama, Shelly Beach, Shortland Waters amd Wagga RSL.

RESULTS:

2 BALL TEAM RESULTS:

MEN:  Denis Powell and Dominic Riley - 49 points

MIXED:  Michael Jorgensen & Pauline Norman - 47 points

LADIES:  Rosalie Dyer and Julie Hazzard - 42 points

MEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Michael Jorgensen - 43 points

RUNNER UP:  Denis Powell - 41 points

WOMEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER:  Kim Cardiff - 38 points

RUNNER UP:  Robin Incoll - 37 points

NEAREST THE PINS:

MEN'S 12TH:  Steve cross

LADIES 8TH:  Mary Bromwich

BALLS WENT TO:

MEN:  35 points on a countback

LADIES:  33 points (neat)

AMCR MEN:  69 (38 points)

AWCR LADIES:  73 (36 points)

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY AS REPORTED TO ME : Julie Hazzard had 5/4 on the 10th; The Boys (John Hazzard and Duncan Dyer) squared the girls for the Keno Ticket after being 4 down; Ron Puiatti had 20 points on the back 9; George Foster & Wally Robertson beat the girls for the Keno Ticket; Wally Robertson parred the 4th; Vicki Foster's highlight was mixing it with her friends after golf in the clubhouse; Michael Norman had 4/4 on the 3rd and 4/4 on the 17th; Lyn Cruickshanks had a nice 36 points; Kerry Williams had a 4 pointer; Clyde Cruickshanks had birdies on the 1st and the 2nd;Grant Williams played a solid round; Graham Brown lost a ball last Sunday which was found by Vicki Foster and returned to Graham this morning - Graham played the ball straight into the 10th dam; Group of Susan Waugh, Walter Loshi and Kim Cardiff collectively got birdies on the 10th, 16th and the 18th;  Kevin O'Brien had a Birdie at the 2nd; Doreen Trigg had a birdie 2/4 at the 14th; Mary Beard won nearest the pin on the 8th.  My highlight was being at presentation to take all the photos and highlights.
