Golf - Friday 2nd March 2012

The wet weather has returned to haunt us, hopefully for not too long.

There was no golf competition today unfortunately and it is still raining as I am writing this post which does not sound promising for tomorrow.  Check with the Pro Shop in the morning for the conditions of the course.

What to do when there is no golf to play?  Why not consider spending some time improving your clubhouse facilities as some of our Members did today!

The Links Room has been screaming for a coat of paint for quite some time - all that was required was some manpower & a free day to work.

Today we had Nigel & Sheena Asken, Col Matterson, Mark Stimpson, Di Beechey, Alvin Kan, Peter & Jan Martin who were willing to put in a good team effort to get the job of painting the Links Room done so that we can encourage more function bookings by presenting a respectable room.

The Links Room has been improved greatly and there are many other club projects of a similar nature to be done.  Contact Peter or Jan Martin if you are able to contribute.

YES! MEMBERS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

To be noted for the record: The Martin's and the Stimpson's were not the last to leave the clubhouse after raffles tonight
