Golf - Wednesday 31st March 2010

What better day to be booked in for babysitting than a rainy day. My day started at 6.30am & finished at 4.00pm. Being the devoted Nana it was not a problem & I loved every minute. Photo attached from today so you can stay up to date when I am not golfing or in the gardens.
The Golf Event of the day was meant to be a Single Stableford + Team 1 x 2 x 3.

The constant & sometimes heavy rain we have experienced over the last two days was enough to close the course today, so golf was a non-event. That, along with Monday and Tuesday's course maintenance it would have all been a bit ugly.

Having the golf cancelled would have also given all our golfers an opportunity to pay their last respects to Craig Elton (Reggie) at his funeral which was held at 1.30 pm today.

It has been a long time since we have had to cancel a golf event which is indicator that the course drainage has improved substantially & we should be back to golf as normal as soon as the weather clears sufficiently.

The gardens will all be rejuvenated after the hot spell so the rain was good news for them.
