We had a beautiful sunny day to celebrate Mother's Day today tepid a little by a chilly wind that will help to dry out the course.

Each day the course is improving from the devastation of the recent storms. The fairways are in good order and the greens magnificent.  There are still some very wet patches in the rough areas but if you are talented enough to keep your ball on the fairways there is no reason why you cannot have a fantastic score.

Our playing partners today were Duncan and Rosalie Dyer who were great company.  We did have some highlights from time to time, however the boys beat the girls for the Keno Ticket at the 17th which was a good battle.

The Golf a Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies - Mother's Day.

We had 34 starters with 4 visitors from Everglades, Northbridge and Warringah.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Rosalie Dyer had nice pars on the 2nd, 4th and the 14th; Col Matterson had birdies at the 10th and the 12th and won nearest the pin on the 12th; Ron Puiatti had one birdie; Anne Burke doubled her score on the second 9; John Slight hit a ball into the palm tree on the 17th which did not come out; my highlight was a 4 pointer at the 12th and finishing with the same ball I started with.

Today was Ron Puiatti's Birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!
