A start made on cleaning up at the back of the clubhouse
By F-Trooper Kevin O'Brien

We had a very busy day at F-Troop today.  The course is drying up but we focused our projects today
That did not require to much action on the soft course.  In addition to that there was a shotgun start social group which kept the course busy.

We had twelve volunteers which allowed us to get some good projects done.  We had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Geoff Bridge, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Kevin O'Brien, Garry Trigg, John Hollebon, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

The tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Garry Trigg, Kevin O'Brien and Geoff Bridge removed a large broken branch in the wedding garden, replaced a fallen stag horn, cut up and removed other fallen trees and branches and tidied up along the front fence.

Rob Benson and Don Nicholls took care of tidying up the Putting Green hedges and gutters.  Rob  also repaired a broken stair at the back of the clubhouse.

John Hollebon did a great job trimming the hedges at the 1st and 10th Tees and tidying up the Camellia's in the Wedding Garden.

Peter Martin did rubbish pick up and installed a new "tea pot" planter at the Ladies Garden at the 13th Tee.

Di Beechey and Anne Burgess cleaned up the car park, the BBQ area and under the clubhouse, did some more work in the Wedding Garden placing artificial grass under the seats as well as raking and tidying up the area at the wedding garden and the 1st and 10th tees.

I cleaned up at the bush toilets, the 6th tranquility garden, the Ladies 3rd tee, weeded and tidied up at the putting green, trimmed the Tibouchinas, dead headed the roses and picked up loose timber.

We really enjoyed our morning tea of freshly baked scones, jam and cream - Thank you Chef Ranga!

After morning tea Peter and Trevor delivered some firewood and Kevin raked up at the back of the clubhouse.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
