Golf - Tuesday 17th September 2013









It did rain on our parade for a little bit today but for the most it was a nice sunny day except for a couple of holes when a rain storm rushed through.  My playing partners were Lyn Cruickshanks & Lesley Gregory and we had an enjoyable day with Lyn being our player of the day coming in with a nice 74 missing out on runner up by a countback.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stroke & Club Medal.

We had 47 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Chris Dekker had a good front 9; Lyn Cruickshanks played a nice steady game; Lesley Gregory played the 7th really well, Sheena Asken chipped in on the 18th for a birdie; Sheena & Rhonda ducked and weaved past Anne Burke's shots all day; Jan Fitzgerald is an improving player; Judy Verlander parred the 9th; Kay Baillie parred the 3rd and the 18th; Robin Incoll played consistent golf; Doon Jansen had a birdie on the 6th; Jan Walker parred the 1st, 3rd & the 15th; Glennis English got herself out of trouble to score well; Rhonda Robertson had a birdie on the 6th and said Sheena was pretty to watch; Robyn Krahe enjoyed good company; Kay Frewin's highlight was watching Michelle Lalor play; Sheila Williams had a par on the 16th; my highlight was having three one putts in a row.
