Golf - Sunday 15th September 2013

What a great day we had for golf today - the threatening rain held off and we had mainly blue skies and sunshine that varied between cool and hot depending on the breeze and what hole we were on.

Our playing partners were Ian & Lynda Hartley and we had a fabulous day on the village green made all the better for two birdies from the boys and the girls winning the keno ticket at the 14th.  Lynda played a fantastic first 9 turning with 23 points and I kicked in for the last 9 losing out on winning the Ladies 2 Ball on a countback.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.

We had 73 starters with 3 visitors from Mangrove Mountain and two guests Richard & Janet Pugh from Loge, Cornwell, England.

Tonight we welcomed some visitors Richard & Janet Pugh from Looe in Cornwell in England which is near my ancestral home of Redruth, Cornwell in England where I believe some of my relatives still live (Michell Family). (Richard is a cousin of Lynn Puiatti).  We also celebrated Lorraine Bignall's birthday with some super desserts at the Gosford Hotel post golf.  (photos attached)
