We had a lovely sunny day for our Wyong inter-club visit today.

Wyong won the day and a good day was had by all.  Congratulations to the Wyong girls!

My playing partners were Yvonne Wilson, Yvonne Cumming and Shirley Daly.  We had a lovely day on the village green & had some good highlights

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Aggregate Vets in Conjunction - Wyong Inter-Club Visit.

We had 87 starters with 15 visitors from Bermuda Rum USA, Morisset & Wyong.

SINGLE STABLEFORD RESULTS:

DIVISION 1 - 0 TO 22:

WINNER:  Helen Potter - 41 points

RUNNER UP:  Lorraine Linnert - 39 points

3RD:  Sue Hutton - 37 points

DIVISION 2 - 23 TO 32:

WINNER:  Judy Verlander - 41 points

RUNNER UP:  Lesley Gregory - 40 points

3RD:  Michelle Lalor - 35 points on a countback

DIVISION 3 - 33 TO 45:

WINNER:  Fran James - 39 points on a countback

RUNNER UP:  Elly Van Den Berg - 39 points

3RD:  Annie Brink - 38 points

AWCR LADIES:  73 (36 points)

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Kay Frewin had a 4 pointer on the 4th; Judy Verlander had 41 points and ten 3 pointers; Helen Potter had two birdies and eight 3 pointers; Linda Rankin had a 4 pointer on the 12th; Di Thomlinson had a birdie on the 16th; Joyce Bosley played well with good encouragement from her playing partners; Debbie Grinham chipped in for a par on the 13th; Elly Van Den Berg had 39 points and won nearest the pin on the 8th; Annie Brink had a birdie on the 14th for 2/4; Lyn Cruickshanks parred the 12th and the 14th; Norma Cubis had a lovely drive to the 12th green; Shirley Daly played well scoring 19 points on the front 9 and a great 3 pointer at the 16th; Yvonne Wilson chipped well at the 5th, 7th and the 17th; my highlight was a gobbler par at the 17th and winning nearest the pin at the 8th;  a visit from the Wyong girls is always a highlight and a visit from Sue Hutton's granddaughter was also a good highlight.  I am sorry if I missed other highlights as I was in late and ran out of time to make it around all the tables.
