Golf - Sunday 29th August 2010 - Mixed Team Series Week 2

We had a glorious day for golf today with blue sky & sunshine. I have taken some photos of the course in late afternoon sunshine which do not do justice to the beauty of the course in late afternoon. It was a pleasure to be out on the village green today. The course is in great condition with plenty of run on the fairways & the greens are fantastic. Those who did not play at Gosford today sadly missed out on a great day.

Our playing partners & opposition Team Members were Kerry & Norma Cubis & we had a great day. Norma & Kerry played well with Peter & I putting in a good second 9. We did have some good highlights the best for me being two successive pars on 17 and 18 after a bit of a dismal start which allowed me to finish with a reasonable score. Norma had 21 points on the back 9 scoring some great 3 pointers & Kerry scored a nice steady 38 points although he let me down with no birdies to score kisses from.

The Event of the day was the 2nd Round of the Mixed Team Series - Single Stableford - Best three scores to count.

We had 124 starters with 4 visitors from Byron Bay, Everglades and Marrickville.
