Golf - Tuesday 15th September 2009















































































We did not get the promised rain overnight but finished up with a very pleasant day for golf with not a drop of rain to spoil our day. My playing partners today were Anne Forrester and Joyce Bosley and we had a good fun day on the village green. Joyce played a very nice game getting some three and four pointers & Anne & I chimed in with some three pointers when we could, we had some good highlights along the way.
The Event of the day was a Single Stableford with a Vets in conjunction in Age Divisions and we had 85 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Julie Hazzard had a birdie gobbler of the 18th; Joyce Bosley got 10 points on the last three holes to score a nice 35 points; Yvonne Wilson parred the 7th; Sharon Anderson parred the 3rd, 4th and the 16th; Rosie Dyer had a good back 9 scoring 21 points; June Bowen had a 5/4 on the 11th; Doreen Vines had 4 pointers on the 8th and the 15th; Lyn Cruickshanks had 3/5 on the 16th - on the green for two & one putted (WOW!); Elly Van Den Burg had two 4 pointers and generally played a steady game with not too many stray balls; Anne Forrester and I both parred the 15th for 3 pointers and I got second shot nearest the pin on the 5th.
For those of you that had a bit of an ordinary game today (like I had) I have attached some photos of the latest roses blooming from my garden this week to cheer you up!
