Golf - Thursday 27th August 2009

Things are looking up now that the weather is warming, plenty of blue sky and sunshine - just what the lady golfers want and our 43 starters today are evidence of that.
My playing partners today were Wendy Stapleton and Dawn Tromp & my highlight was playing with both the winners of Division 1 and Division 2. Our highlights were many with Wendy playing a lovely steady game and Dawn turning after the front 9 with 27 points - must have been the company that they had! What a pity it was not a team match we would have had a top score with Dawn bringing home 46 points and Wendy 39 points.
The Event of the day was a Single Stableford in two divisions and we had 43 starters with 2 visitors from Russell Vale and Woolooware.
RESULTS:
DIVISION 1
WINNER: Wendy Stapleton - 39 points
RUNNER UP: Maree Gledhill - 38 points on a countback
3RD: Jan Fitzgerald - 38 points on a countback
