The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men & Women + Medley 1 x 2 x 3 Team Event.

We had 66  starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Kyung Chung scored a beautiful 50 points with steady play and a couple of nice pars, Kyung is one of our promising rookies who will be improving her handicap from 42 very quickly; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 12th and won nearest the pin; Leonie Kelly had chip ins on the 9th and 10th and had 4/5 on the 4th; Brett Margin had a birdie on the 8th and the 13th; Lyn Cruickshanks played a nice steady game; Lauren Smith had a birdie on the 8th hole and won nearest the pin; Neville Walker had birdies on the 5th and Jan Walker had a birdie on the 14th; Joyce Bosley was an improved player; Gary Smith played a steady game of golf for his 40 points; Helen Smith had a 4 pointer on the 12th; Owen James had 4 pointers at the 11th and the 12th; Nigel Asken had a birdie sandy chip in on the 17th; Sheen Asken & Rosalie Dyer beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Rae Brown had 4 pointers at the 8th and the 12th; Carolyn Buttsworth had 5/4 on the 10th, 6/2 on the 11th, 4/3 on the 12th and 3/3 on the 14th but does not want to discuss the rest of the match; my highlight was a farewell dinner after golf to wish Mark Stimpson well on his upcoming overseas trip where he is going to see the British Open, play golf in Scotland and swan around France for a few months.
