Gosford Golfing Ladies at Kooindah Waters Open Day

Well it is not called Kooindah Waters for nothing  - there is water everywhere and where there is not there is a bunker or three.

It is a challenging course but a lot of fun to play if you keep your sense of humour.  Big hitters would love the challenge of finding the green without getting into difficulty.

My playing partners were Carolyn Buttsworth, Yvonne Cumming and Kathy Small and we had a very enjoyable day. Our best highlight was a great gobbler shot by Kathy to score a point for us.

The day was very well organised - we were met in the car park by gentlemen who took our golf clubs and placed them in our cart for us while we registered and picked up our cards. We were then greeted with morning tea including cakes and biscuits and then convoyed out to our starting point for a shotgun start.

After golf we arrived in the clubhouse to find our pre-ordered lunch waiting for us.

Overall it was a huge success with clubs from Sydney, Newcastle as well as all the local clubs.
The prizes were well worth winning along with the raffle prizes.

Congratulations to Kooindah for a well run day!
