F-Troop - Monday 24th March 2014

We had another small crew day today with only seven volunteers available.  The course was under maintenance so all the tractors were in use by the greens staff.

On hand we had Peter Martin, Geoff Bridge, Don Nicholls, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.  Between us we got some good work done.

The boys took charge of trimming the hedges at the 1st, 10th and 2nd which were in need of a good trim and collected some rubbish from the course.

Di, Carolyn & Anne trimmed the shrubs at the clubhouse gardens and cleaned up the garden behind the Men's 10th Tee.

I cleaned up at the bush toilets, 3rd and 5th Tees, 1st and 10th gardens including watering the potted plants, finished the weeding of the 2nd tee garden that I had started several weeks ago & generally picked up loose timber around the course.

Morning Tea of huge muffins were very welcome after a full mornings work.  Thank you Chef John!

The weather has closed in and we have had some more rain which will keep our course refreshed and the dams built up.  Rain has been forecast for this week - Let us hope we do not get too much.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
