Golf - Sunday 20th October 2013 - Annual President Vs Captain's Day




















Men's Championship results after two rounds.  These results do include players who are not participating in the Championship.  Further Championship Results will be printed after Round 3.  Rounds 3 will be played on Saturday and Round 4 will be played on Sunday of this coming week.







The Golf Event of the day was the Annual President Vs Captains Day - American Foursomes for mixed pairs.

We had 62 starters with 4 visitors from Concord, New South Wales & Yowani.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Robyn & Wally Johnston had a birdie on the 1st (putted in by Wally); Kay Frewin & Arthur Collien played steady golf; Keith & Helen Potter had 4 birdies; Bruce & Leanne Binns had a nice day; Wally & Fay Bailey finished with the same balls they started with; Lorraine Bignall drove to within 270 for a birdie on the 8th; Julie Hazzard won nearest the pin on the 8th; John Hazzard had to shout the crownies tonight for his FRAT on the 9th; Duncan & Rosalie Dyer lost by 1/8th of a point and had birdies on the 14th and 15th; Col Matterson had birdies on the 1st and the 12th; Ron Puiatti had a birdie on the 5th; Annette & Steven Cross had birdies at the 11th and the 12th; Clyde & Lyn Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 12th and a gobbler birdie on the 11th and nearly had a eagle; Ray Buttsworth won his first ever golf ball and both he and Carolyn were on the green for one on the 14th; Doug & Robin Incoll chipped in twice, had a couple of birdies and two nice long putts; Annie Brink & Wally Robertson were both on the green for one on the 12th; Bert Brink & Jan Martin had a birdie on the 15th.  We found ourselves in difficult places today but managed to scramble out well enough to win the day for the President's side and to win a ball.
