F-Troop - Monday 5th August 2013

We had a beautiful day for F-Troop projects today but we were resticted on the course as there was a large contingent of Vets players using the course so we kept our movements to a minimum.

We had nine volunteers - Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Peter Martin, Martin Gallagher, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

The boys all chipped in at the wood pile to tidy up that area and cut up a large branch at the practice
nets for rubbish collection.

Peter, Rob, Trevor & Warren did some rubbish pick up as well and fixed the broken fence at the putting green.

Anne Burgess fertilized the camellias in Camellia Way and then helped me to finish off the hydrangeas at the 3rd tee and worked on the garden at the 2nd as well as tidying up the BBQ area,

Di Beechey cleaned up the car park, weeded the garden at the 2nd green and helped me to trim the hydrangeas at the 3rd tee.

I worked on the 3rd tee gardens, the 5th tee garden and the 2nd green garden planting out some succulent plants that were donated by Ron Gowing.  Thanks Ron.  The plants were much appreciated.

Today was Martin's birthday so we celebrated with a birthday cake from Chef John.  A beautiful cream filled sponge cake fresh from the oven.  Thanks Chef John!  We noticed your subtle cake decorations John!!!!!

The course is drying out well so we should be able to get out there with our heavy machinery & vehicles next week to do some more cleaning up.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
