Golf - Sunday 31st March 2013 - Easter Sunday and Dinner Dance

We had a beautiful day for our 12.15am shotgun start today.  The threatening rain did not eventuate.

Our playing partners were Col Kelly and Alice Diamond and we had an enjoyable day on the village green with a good highlight on the 16th where we all played some nice shots to score well.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.

We had 39 starters with 1 visitor - Alice Diamond  from Shelly Beach.

EASTER DINNER DANCE:

Easter is a difficult time to commit to a night out at the Golf Club because it is traditionally a family/holiday time - however those that did come had a wonderful night.

We were entertained by an exceptional band "Brassick" that have played at the club on several occasions previously and were very popular.  We all had our dancing shoes on and were up on the dance floor having a great time.  In addition to the golfing patrons we also had some visitors from Berowra who were in Gosford for the night and also some local people who had heard that the band was playing at our club.

It was mentioned to me tonight that the night was good value for the meal and entertainment and they would have been happy to have paid $55 for just the evening - so those of us that also got 18 holes of golf as well got a bargain!
