F-Troop - Monday 18th March 2013

We only had a small crew of seven workers today but we did achieve some good work.

We had Rob Benson, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Don Nicholls, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin to share the work.

Rob, Geoff & Warren did loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course and removed three trailer loads.  Geoff also transported a trailer load of mulch to the garden at the 15th.

Di & Anne cleaned up the car park & BBQ area, cleaned out the garden at the 2nd, cleaned the bush toilets and watered all the gardens there, watered the pot plants out on the course, weeded some of the garden at the 17th & helped me to finish off spreading the mulch at the 15th.

Don Nicholls removed the old car park signs in the front car park and fixed them to the fence where they are more visible.

I picked up loose timber at the 1st and 10th, watered the gardens there, re-started & refilled the water feature at the 1st; planted a new hibiscus plant at the front garden, spread the mulch at the garden at the 15th; trimmed the hedge and ground cover at the front of the club, watered the pots and new plants in the wedding garden and behind the putting green, re-filled the bird bath at the wedding garden, fertilized the plants in the wedding garden.

Morning tea of muffins were very welcome - Thanks Chef John!

The course is just about to burst out with many colours in the camellias and some brilliant purple of the tibouchinas which look fantastic for the next three months.  We hope you all enjoy them and it makes all our work worthwhile to see all the beautiful colours about the course.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
