HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Michael Cheetham was 22 points at the turn and went on to win the Men’s Singles Event; Peter Martin was an improved player; Carolyn Buttsworth played steady golf; Lorraine Bignall found it a bit wet out on the course; John Hazzard had a lovely walk; Julie Hazzard walked the course with regret (John’s fault); Denise Bentlin had 4/3 on the 15th; Laurie Bentlin had 4/3 on the 16th; Wally Loschi enjoyed good company; Rob Parry had a birdie on the 5th hole; Terry Connor had a birdie on the 5th hole and won nearest the pin; Mark Stimpson had birdies on the 2nd and the 18th; Alice Diamond enjoyed good company; Leonie Kelly putted very well; my highlight was the 19th hole.
