Golf - Sunday 14th February 2021

Sarah Doyle - Winner of the Ladies Singles

The day improved greatly from yesterday’s deluge - the course was not too bad considering how much rain we had yesterday - the bunkers were under water but the rest was occasional water.

I was still on the injured list (however improving well).

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team.

We had 73 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Sarah Doyle enjoyed a great day on the course scoring a nice 43 points including 3/4 at the 14th, 3/4 on the 12th and 5/3 on the 15th - good chipping to the green contributed; Graham Parker had a birdie on the 4th; Peter Martin sank a 30 foot putt from the edge of the green at the 5th for a par; Snake sneezed on the 6th fairway and knocked Eddie out of the cart; Robbie looked wonderful in his new floppy hat; Steve Robinson had a nice 37 points - chipped in on the 10th for a birdie, chipped in on the 4th for a birdie, however this was marred by losing the head off his 7 iron into drain at the 5th (yet to be retrieved during F-Troop duties tomorrow) Leonie Kelly had 4/4 on the 9th; Carolyn Buttsworth had 3 pointers on the 17th and 18th; Mark Stimpson had birdies at the 10th and 16th; Joaka Chan Shin had birdies at the 5th and the 7th; my highlight was a bunch of flowers for Valentines Day - how good is that!
