Golf - Sunday 21st September 2014

We had a beautiful day for golf today. Our playing partners were Terry and Sandra Coyle who were great company.  We had some good highlights during the day which included three gobblers from everyone else except me and a nearest the pin at the 8th by me to make up for no gobbler.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed, Men and Ladies.

We had 76 starters with 6 visitors from Cumberland, Orchard Hills, Richmond, Riverside Oaks,
Stonecutters Ridge,

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY  as reported to me:  Sandra Coyle had a gobbler on the 11th; Terry Coyle had a gobbler on the 12th and a 4 pointer on the 3rd; Peter Martin had a gobbler on the 15th;
Peter Martin & Terry Coyle narrowly beat the girls for a Keno Ticket  with a good win at the 17th; Col Matterson hit his drive on the 17th into the drain which had several inches of water in it, He promptly removed his shirt  (to expose his torso) to hit a great shot out of the drain, but I had reports that everything moved and wobbled and it was not rippling muscles - Lauren reports that she would have rather washed the shirt; Duncan Dyer had a birdie at the 5th; Lauren had three 4 pointers; Rosalie had five 3 pointers including a gobbler at the 1st and the girls beat the boys for the Keno; Brent Frewin had birdies at the 10th and the 14th; Anne Forrester & Tania Burt beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; David Small had a birdie at the 12th; Lynda Hartley had a 4/4 at the 1st; Joyce Bosley had 4 pointers at the 12th and the 14th; Neville Walker had 4/4 at the 13th; Kevin O'Brien had birdies at the 1st and the 12th; Michael Norman had 43 points including 4/4's and the 10th, 11th and the 13th; Robyn Johnston & Lyn Cruickshanks beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Clyde Cruickshanks had birdies and the 2nd and the 7th; Annie Brink had a 4 pointer par at the 10th and a 3/4 at the 5th; My highlight was winning the nearest the pin at the 8th hole.

Tomorrow is Brent Frewin's 67th Birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENT!
