Golf - Sunday 14th September 2014

We had a magical beautiful summer day to enjoy our golf today at Gosford Golf Course.

The Sun was shining and the course was in really good condition considering the recent heavy rainfall.

Our playing partners today were Duncan & Rosalie Dyer and we had a fun day on the Village Green. Peter & Jan for the President's Side and Duncan & Rosalie for the Captain's Side.  We had some good highlights during the day the best of which was my drive to the Par 3 8th for Nearest the Pin which Peter turned into a birdie and Rosalie and Duncan scoring a par on the 18th Hole.

My apologies to President Ron & Captain Mark, Duncan, Rosalie, David & Lynn for accidentally deleting their photos when I was editing for the blog after a few wines at the Gosford Hotel!!!!  My ipad is very touch sensitive and if I get carried away delting unwanted photos and I delete more than I intend.

The Golf Event of the day was an American Foursomes - Annual President Vs Captain's Day.

We had 60 visitors with 1 visitor from Howlong.

Rae Brown on the 9th hole instructed Graham to hit the ball to the right of the green so she could chip in, Graham promptly hit the ball into the hedge where it could have been declared lost , however Peter Laybutt found the ball, and Rae & Graham went on to beat them by 1/4 of  point!   (goes to show that you cannot be too nice on the golf course!) my highlight was winning nearest the pin at the 8th which was under threat all day.
