We had a lovely day for golf with just enough breeze to keep it bearable.  Our playing partners were Neville and Jan Walker and they were great company. Peter was the champion of the day while we struggled for highlights. The Clubhouse was busy all day with the Wedding Expo on show both upstairs and in the Wedding Garden.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies plus Medley Team Stableford - 1 x2 x 3.

WINNERS: Laurie Bentlin, Denise Bentlin, Paul Morgan and Cameron Morgan - 94 points

RUNNERS UP: Graham Brown, Rae Brown, Peter Laybutt and Sandy Laybutt - 88 points

MEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Peter Laybutt - 44 points

RUNNER UP:  Keith Potter - 42 points

3RD: Walter Loschi - 39 points on a countback

WOMEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Denise Bentlin - 37 points

RUNNER UP: Louise Bush - 35 points

3RD: Rosalie Dyer - 34 points

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Duncan Dyer birdied the 3rd hole; Dyer/Asken group - boys beat the girls for the Keno Ticket; Doug Incoll had a 3/5 birdie at the 17th Hole; Joyce Bosley had two 3 pointers in a row; Brent Frewin had 3 birdies on the front 9; Lyn Cruickshanks parred the 15th;  Clyde Cruickshanks birdied the 10th; Tania Burt had 18 points on the front 9; Group of Foster/Robertson - the girls beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Rhonda Robertson had 2/4 on the 12th; Vicki Foster had a gobbler 4/3 on the 4th and parred the 10th and 18th; George Foster had a birdie on the 2nd and had 9 points in the first 3 holes; Kevin o'Brien had a birdie on the 18Th; Garry Trigg had a birdie on the 18th; Fay Bailey had 4 pars on the back 9 and won nearest the pin on the 8th; Peter Laybutt had 44 points and a birdie on the 15th; my highlight was finishing with the same ball I started with.
