Golf - Sunday 10th February 2013

We had a great day for golf today. Even though the temperatures reached 30 degrees there was a nice breeze to keep us comfortable.  We all managed to finish our golf before the rain set in later in the evening and it is raining steadily now as I write this.   It is all good to freshen up the course again after the recent heat and replenish the dams and gardens.

Our playing partners today were Kevin O'Neill and Lorraine Bignall and we had a really nice day - and it was a pity about the golf from the Martins.  Kevin had us in awe for the first nine holes when we played the back nine.  Kevin started with a birdie on the 10th and turned with 25 points.  He followed that up with a birdie 4/4 on the 1st before the rot set in.  At that stage Lorraine & I had conceded the Keno ticket although Lorraine played some nice golf - but got tired from carrying me.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.

We had 91 starters with 14 visitors from Bigga, Everglades, Hurstville, Lithgow, Palm Meadows Qld, Pennant Hills, Taree, Terrigal and West Wyalong.
