F-Troop - Monday 3rd December 2012

We had light showers falling all morning but that did not stop our dedicated F-Troopers.

Today we had Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher, Don Nicholls, Warren Gray, Bruce White, Peter Martin and Jan Martin.

Trevor & Don installed a water purifier in the new cart shed as well as contributing to the tree gang of Martin  & Geoff who were able to do some undercutting at the 12th.

Warren & Bruce did a great job on rubbish pick up as we had a lot of loose timber and garden rubbish to be collected.

Peter Martin did some rubbish pick up and was supervisor for the cart shed work.

I was busy all morning working on the garden at the 2nd green installing the new yellow golf shoes and doing a final clean up of the garden so that the rubbish could all be removed, planted out some new plants at the flower box at the 7th green, tidied up the garden at the 2nd tee and planted out some more lillies that I had culled from my own garden, After morning tea I helped Martin to weed, fertilize & mulch the pink Mandevillas at the 18th green, and weeded the lemon magnolia tree.

Morning tea was appreciated as we all came in a little damp & dirty.  Today Chef John had some nice fruit muffins for us.  Thanks Chef John!

Even though we had a small work crew we did manage to get quite a good bit of work done.

The showers overnight and this morning have been great for the gardens and the course and will also help to refill the depleting dams.  A little more rain in non golfing time would be great.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
