F-Troop - Monday 23rd July 2012

F-Troop was brought to a standstill this morning with continuing showers on top of a very wet course.

We had some loyal supporters turn up - Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Martin Gallagher, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.  Unfortunately we had to call our projects to a halt and give everyone  a day off as we could not take heavy equipment out on the course and it was a cold and unpleasant day to boot.

We had three diehards who stayed back to work in the storage shed area sorting out the shed parts in preparation for the re-assembly of the cart shed.  Peter Martin, Trevor Harrison and Martin Gallagher spent the morning sorting out parts and doing some serious measurements to plan.  Full credit to these F-Troopers who have put countless hours into this project.

I have heard that there are some mundane Members who have no appreciation of the serious efforts of the F-Troopers on this project - but that would be par for the course - wouldn't it!

Let us hope that we have a series of very fine Mondays in the next month as the garden competition is creeping closer and we need to have our gardens looking their best.

Our thanks to the Members who did make the effort to turn up this morning - you are very much appreciated!

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
