Golf - Tuesday 4th January 2011

We had some lovely cloud cover today to do outdoor things - perfect for golfing and gardening.

I made a start on re-potting some of the lavender plants that are destined for the 16th tee.

At 6.00pm we made some more in-roads to treating the rogue grasses with assistance from Mark Stimpson, myself, Ray Presdee and Martin Gallagher. We covered the rest of the 2nd fairway, most of the 3rd fairway, 12th, 13th and 14th fairways.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford - Over the Field.

We had 41 starters with visitors from Terrigal.

RESULTS- OVER THE FIELD:

WINNER: Margaret Nichols - 43 points

RUNNER UP: Allison Guthrie - 40 points

3RD: Pauline Norman - 39 points on a countback

4TH: Lyn Cruickshanks - 39 points on a countback

5TH: Fay Bailey - 39 points
