Golf - Tuesday 26th October 2010



































































Blue sky and sunshine was very welcome for our 8.00am shotgun start Team Stableford this morning. My playing partners were Elizabeth McNamara and Helen Stuart & we had a fun day on the village green. Our team score was not wonderful but we did have some good highlights with Elizabeth & Helen scoring some great 3 pointers and Elizabeth won nearest the pin on the 14th.


The Event of the day was a Team Stableford which was designed to get all of us back into the clubhouse in time for the Ladies AGM which was held at 1.30 pm. We had 75 starters with visitors from Everglades.


RESULTS:


TEAM WINNERS: Di Thomlinson, Lyn Douglas, Chris Dekker & Doreen Vines - 95 points on a countback.


TEAM RUNNER UPS: Tania Burt, Doreen Trigg, Elly Van Den Berg & Jan Walker - 95 points

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: I did not manage to get right around the room today but these are a few: Bev Walker had 4 pointers at the 3 pars; June Bowen had a 4 pointer at the 4th; Berri Hanley had a 4 pointer at the 14th; Margaret Nichols had a 4 pointer at the 12th; Pam Bourne had two 4 pointers in a row; In Lee had nine 3 pointers; Kath Small chipped in for 4 at the 3rd; Debbie Grinham had a 4 pointer on the 6th; Doreen Vines had 4 pointers at the 8th and the 12th; Elizabeth McNamara played a good front 9 and won nearest the pin at the 14th; Helen Stuart scored great 3 pointers at the 8th, 14th and the 16th; Joyce Bosley played a nice steady game; my highlight was getting my drive pin high at the 5th for 3/3.


At 1.30 pm the Annual General Meeting meeting commenced.

Bev Adams has replaced Chris Dekker as our Veterans Delegate following Chris' retirement from that position.
