Golf - Saturday 9th October 2010 - 1st Round of the Mens Championships

"Proof of the pudding" has finally arrived - our certificates showing the results of the recent garden competition. We were finalists in two catergories - "The Best Commercial Garden" which was judged on the whole of our gardens on the course and "The Best Eco Friendly Garden" Commercial/Industrial which was judged on our "Ladies Garden" at the 13th tee. We missed out on the "Best Theme Garden" so we will have to try harder for that next year.

Roses from my garden - "Mount Shasta" weather affected unfortunately.

Attached are some belated F-Troop photos from around the course. F-Trooper Geoff Bridge working on the now completed picket fence at the 18th tee and F-Troop bringing down the dead pine at the back of the 10th green. Some eggs found at the dam at the 5th. My thanks to Martin Gallagher for contributing these photos.

The Golf Event of the day was a Men's Single Stroke and the 1st Round of the Men's 72 Hole Championship.
We had 196 starters with 3 visitors from Everglades, Wyong & PGA.
