Golf - Sunday 22nd March 2009

The event of the day was a 2 Ball Team plus Singles Men and Ladies.
We had 113 starters with 9 visitors from Kareela, Magenta, South West Rocks, Terrigal, Tumbarumba & Wyong.
Our playing partners today were Lyn & Clyde Cruickshanks & we had a really good day, pity about some of the golf but the company was good. We had some great highlights one of which was Clyde having his buggy run amok into the bunker on the left hand side of the green as Clyde watched his ball glide nicely onto the green. Clyde was very cool and went on to score a 3/3.
Lyn patiently picked up his sand bucket & gathered up all the balls, tees, markers, gloves etc that had scattered out of the buggy & into the sand.

Other highlights of the day were the company of Sheena Asken's mother Rose (from South Africa) at our club tonight.
The pennants teams won today and are shaping up well in the overall count;
The Super Seniors players are undefeated and have two matches to go as reported by Des Wilson, their only representative at the club tonight. Apparently the others are all home having an early night to prepare for tomorrows match.
