Pennants Results - Sunday 6th February 2022

                                               Our Junior Golfers in action

On Saturday I went out to Shelly Beach to watch our junior pennant team hit off in their second match of the year. They looked very impressive in their new shirts and hats. It was a tough day in the wet conditions but they all played well but went down 4.5 to 1.5. A full report and a few photos will follow in the coming days.

Back to Shelly Beach on Sunday for the senior pennants. George Lee thought it was the land of the giants when he stepped up to the tee. All C grade pairs played well in the wet and blustery condition but only Jason and Mitch Gardener were able to get a win and the team went down 2/1.

B grade played strong and continue on the merry way. They won 2/1 and remain undefeated and on top of the table.

A grade had 3 wins from Matt, Mick and Tony out of 6 matches on the board and it was left to Dean Stevens playing number 1. Dean plays off 4 and was playing against Magenta’s gun who plays off +5. Dean was 1 down with 3 to play and won the last 3 holes with some great shots to win 1 up and secure a 4/3 win for the team. A great result that puts us right back into contention.

Well done to all our teams.
