Merry Christmas Greetings from Gosford Golf Club - Decorations compliments of Gosford Lady Golfers Social Committee 

We were so lucky today to only get the lightest of showers out of a very threatening day.

Our playing partners were George and Vicki Foster who were just the best company on the Village Green. We had a lot of highlights with some good pars the best of which was Vicki who had 4 pars. The best highlight of course was the girls beating the boys 3/2 at the 16th.

 The Golf Events of the day were a Men’s and Ladies Single Stableford + 2BBB Stableford.

WINNERS: Jerry Raftery and Jon Thurley - 43 points

MENS SINGLESTABLEFORD RESULTS:

We had 41 starters with 1 visitor from Wyong.

OVER THE FIELD: 

WINNER: Clyde Cruickshanks - 38 points

RUNNER UP: Jerry Raftery - 35 points

NEAREST THE PINS:

8TH HOLE: Jon Thurley - 540 cms

12TH HOLE: Alexander Searle - 290 cms

LADIES SINGLE STABLEFORD RESULTS:

We had 22 starters.

OVER THE FIELD:

WINNER: Alisha Hams - 35 points

NEAREST THE PIN 12TH:

WOMENS SR: 73

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me were: Tania and Spencer Walklate and Brent Frewin and Anne Forrester who’s highlights were finishing, Anne Forrester parred the 9th; Sandra Coyle’s highlight was dodging a ball on the 8th; Ron Puiatti had a birdie on the 10th; Jan Walker had 3 pointers on the 5th, 6th, 9th, and 17th; Lauren Matterson had pars on the 5th, 11th and 16th; Belinda Ostini had a birdie on the 11th; Michael Ostini stirred up a lot of the Correllas; Steve and Geraldine Turner had a lovely day with Ray and Carolyn Buttsworth; Lyn Cruickshanks parred the 8th; Kerry Williams sank a 20 foot putt on the 18th for a 3 pointer; Clyde Cruickshanks had 12 pars and a birdie on the 18th; Vicki Foster had 4 pars; my highlights were getting a couple of 3 pointers and sinking a (a bit more than 20 foot putt - to beat Kerry Williams) at the 18th hole for a 3 pointer and finished with the same ball I started with.
