My playing partners today

We had a beautiful day for golf today on the village green. My playing partners were Carolyn Buttsworth, Cheryl Davison and Helen Stuart. They were great company and we had some good highlights along the way the best of which was Cheryl’s drive to the 14th to gain nearest the pin,Helen’s gobbler on the 5th for a par, and Carolyn’s 5/3 on the 18th.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford.
We had 65 starters.

3RD: Sandy Laybutt - 34 points on a countback
B GRADE:
WINNER: Debbie Cox - 38 points
RUNNER UP: Maria McGann - 36 points on a countback
3RD: Narelle Medcalf - 36 points on a countback

5TH HOLE: Suzanne Waugh
12TH HOLE: Sally Hopkins
14TH HOLE: Cheryl Davison

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Cheryl Davison hit a great drive at the 14th to win nearest the pin; Helen Stuart was a steady player and had a nice gobbler for a par at the 5th; Carolyn Buttsworth had 5/3 on the 18th after a beautiful shot to the green fearlessly over the bunker; my highlights were finishing with the first ball I started with, escaping from 4 bunkers with one shot in each and scoring a 4 pointer on the 8th with a long downhill putt.
