Men’s Pennants Results - Sunday 25th April 2021

Congratulations to all of our Pennant players this year - well done!

Toukley Golf Club hosted our last Pennants match of the year today and it was a great result for Gosford.

Our B grade won their match 2/1 and have therefore won the Pennant for 2021 even though there are a few matches to play. Well done to Bill Ballard (C), Luke Eustace, Brett Little, Martin Gallagher, Glen Cheetham, Bill Ballard, Tim Verduci, Joe Woodhead and Allan Keith. All eight players contributed over the year and supported each other to a great win.

Special mention to Martin Gallagher and Glen Cheetham who came down the last all square. Martin chipped from the rough 70 meters out and put the ball to a foot and Glen then followed by hitting a long bunker shot to 3 feet. Both putts were conceded for a well deserved win 1 up.

A grade also had a great result squaring their match 3 ½ to 3 ½ . Good wins to Mark Hiley, Matt Buckley and our new boy Trent Scott. Conor O’Callaghan also had his first game for Gosford but went down. A grade will hopefully finish in the top 4.

C grade won their match on a forfeit and weren’t required to play today. C grade should also finish in the top 4

I want to thank all players for their support this year. All grades have done very well. Our boys played every match in a good spirit and with great sportsmanship.

I also want to thank the club especially Graham, Kieran and Paul. We were well supported with uniforms, balls and advice throughout the year.

I look forward to next year

Thanks

Bob Thomas

The last round for this years competition was played at Toukley versus Kooindah Waters.

I would like to thank all players who have represented their club with distinction. Special thanks to Bob Thomas for a sterling job in managing the teams.
A grade drew 3 1/2 to 3 1/2
B Grade won 2 to 1
C Grade won 3 nil on forfeit.

Congratulations to the B grade team on winning the pennant. All matches went to the 18th and a very tight match.
