Golf - Sunday 11th October 2020

We had a perfect weather day for golf today. Our playing partners were Steven and Annette Cross who were great company and helped me to break the 30 points barrier today. Our highlights were many but the best of which was Annette’s 4/4 on the 9th + the girls smashed the boys for the Keno Ticket on the 16th

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2Ball Team.

We had 79 starters with 4 visitors from Kooindah Waters, Wyong, Waratah and Qantas.

WINNERS: Bert Brink and Lorraine Bignall - 47 points on a countback

MENS SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Greg Brien - 44 points

RUNNER UP: Lachlan Prior- 39 points

3RD: Alan Bellamy - 38 points

LADIES SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Vicki Foster - 40 points

RUNNER UP: Lorraine Bignall - 39 points on a countback

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Annette Cross had 4/4 at the 9th, 4/3 at the 3rd, 3/3 at the 5th and suffered a bee sting at the 5th; Steve Cross showed off with pars at the1st and 2nd and then ....; Peter Martin had 5/3 on the 2nd, 5/3 on the 10th, 4/3 on the 13th and 4/3 on the 13th and the 16th; Clyde Cruickshank had a birdie on the 1st; Lauren Matterson parred the 6th; Marianne Lanham had 2 x 3 pointers on the back 9; Wal Robertson had 4 points at the 11th and the 3rd; Rhonda Robertson played good steady golf and Ladies beat the men for the Keno Ticket; Geraldine and Steve Turner enjoyed good company and had a good day; Brett Margin and Leonie Kelly both birdied the 16th and played with new members Shannon and Annette Woodley; Jan Walker had up and downs from three bunkers for 3 pointers; Neville Walker had 3 pointers on the 1st, 11th, 14th, 15th and 17th and a 4 pointer at the 9th; my highlights were being an improved player - scoring more than 30 points and won a ball, 3/4 at the 14th, 5/3 at the 15th, 3/4 at the 12th, 6/3 at the 11th, 5/3 at the 16th - 22 points at the back 9, beating the boys for the Keno Ticket and finishing with the same ball I started  with after fishing it out of the 3rd dam.
