The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2 Ball Team.

We had 69 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Ray Buttsworth had 22 points at the turn and had 38 points; Rhonda Robertson birdied the 11th for 4/4 and started with 2 pars; Kay Baillie had 3/4 at the 12th and scored 5/2 on the 15th after a water penalty; Garry Bailliecparred the 1st and birdied the 2nd; Wal Robertson had a birdie on the 16th; Clyde Cruickshanks birdied the 1st after an ordinary drive past the ladies tee, 5wood and had the 3rd shot in the hole; Carolyn Buttsworth played steady golf; Lyn Cruickshanks enjoyed one par; Fran James had 4 pointe4 on the 10th and had 20 points on the back 9; Owen James was pleased to be back and won a nearest the pin; Anne Forrester had a 3 pointer on the 18th and won nearest the pin on the 14th; Brent Frewin was a steady golfer; Vicki Foster and Lauren Matterson beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Vicki Foster had 19 points on the back 9; Lauren Matterson nursed Col around the golf course; George Foster parred the 16th, skimmed a ball over the 3rd dam and finished with the same ball he started with; Sandra Coyle enjoyed a close relationship with all the bunkers today; Steven Turner was a 3 hole wonder; Geraldine Turner enjoyed the company; John Hazzard had 4/4 at the 16th after the ball hit the pin and bounced out; Neville Walker had 3 pointers at the 2/3/11/12/18th and won nearest the pin at the 12th; Jan Van Den Berg sank a 25 metre putt on the 17th; Tania Walklate had 3/4 on the 8th and came out of the bunker at the 18th in one shot; Alice Diamond and Christine Drakeford beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; I had plenty of highlights today having an extended birthday celebration with family and friends but will be back next week for the Team Series 2 when I expect my team members to be in top form.
