Our playing partners were Ross and Christine Drakeford who were great company and it was a pleasure to bring home the 2 Ball Team winners as they both combined very well. We did have some good highlights including good pars and two gobblers.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team.

We had 70 starters with 4 visitors from Queanbeyan and Shelly Beach

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me - Ross Drakeford had 9 pars; Peter Martin had a gobbler on the 5th; Christine Drakeford had 5 x 3 pointers and had 35 points with 2 wipes; Carolyn Buttsworth and Rosalie Dyer beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Rosalie Dyer had 4/4 on the 17th; Ray Buttsworth had 4/4 on the 4th; Steve Turner 1 putted on the 13th; steve Turner and Garry Baillie won the Keno Ticket from the girls; Steve Robinson was 7 over and had birdies on the 10th and the 12th; Liz Robinson had a 4 pointer on the 11th; Karen Askins had 3/4 on the 8th; Anne Forrester parred the 15th; Brent Frewin and Spencer Walklate beat the girls for the Keno Ticket; Vicki Foster chipped in from the black stump at the left of the 5th; Tony and Ros Webb from Canberra enjoyed their game of golf at a Gosford with brother Bill and Kerrie Webb - Ros found a ball and lost a ball; Kevin O’Brien had 41 points including a birdie at the 18th and some good chipping; Lorraine Bignall had some good 3 pointers; Lynn Puiatti got nearest the pin at the 12th and the girls beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Col Matterson had a birdie at the 18th; At golf yesterday it was reported to me that George Foster physically hit a shag (of the feathered kind) which recovered after rolling into the dam; my highlight today was getting a gobbler at the 2nd for a 3 pointer, beating the boys for the Keno Ticket, scoring 30 points and finishing with the same ball I started with.
