We had a magic day for golf today - blue sky and sunshine all the way.  Our playing partners were Col and Lauren Matterson and we had a great day on the village green with some good highlights  - lots of pars from Col and a birdie at the 15th and from Lauren a gobbler birdie at the 8th hole.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2 Ball Team Stableford Mixed.

We had 42 starters.

RUNNER UP: Dick Bosley - 36 points

LADIES SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Doreen Trigg - 37 points on a countback

RUNNER UP: Judith Ruitenberg - 37 points on a countback

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Col Matterson had a Birdie on the 15th and a lot of good pars; Lauren Matterson had a birdie gobbler on the 8th hole; Lynn Puiatti had a birdie o the 14th, par on the 15th and 4/4 on the 3rd; Ron Puiatti and George Foster's highlight was beating the girls for the Keno Ticket; Ray Buttsworth hit his shot on the 2nd up into a tree behind the dogleg bunkers that was so high up in the tree that they could not retrieve it; Brent Frewin had birdies on ther 16th and the 17th; Anne Forrester Gobblers on the 4th and the 7th; Carolyn Buttsworth enjoyed good company; Dick Bosley had 5/3 on the 3rd, parred the 2/4/5th holes and turned with 19 points; Kevin O'Brien had a birdie on the 15th; Lorraine Bignall after returning from an extended overseas trip yesterday hit some good 5 woods; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 7th; Doreen Trigg sank a long putt on the 7th for 5 and also scored a 4/4; Sheila Williams nearly had a gobbler birdie at the 14th; my highlights sadly this week is scoring a 3 pointer on the 14th and finishing with the same ball I started with.
