We had a perfect Autumn Day for our golf day on the Village Green.  Our playing partners were Lorraine Bignall & Kevin O'Brien and we did have some highlights during the day the best of which was Peter's chip into the hole over the bunker on the 6th.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + a Team 1 x 2 x 3.

We had 63 starters.

WINNERS: Nicholas Massa, Richard Brien, Matt Shepherd & Mona Maher - 88 points.

MEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Paul R Smith - 41 points

RUNNER UP: Peter Martin - 40 points

LADIES SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Fay Bailey - 35 points on a countback

RUNNER UP: Lynette Bates - 35 points on a countback

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Peter Martin scored a nice 40 points; Lorraine Bignall parred the 1st and the 2nd holes; Kevin O'Brien had two pars; Joyce Bosley beat Lorraine Bignall on a countback; Vicki Foster chipped in for a birdie 2/4 on the 8th and parred the 15th & 16th; Rhonda Robertson had 3 pars in a row; Paul R Smith sank a 40 foot putt on the 18th to score a nice 41 points for the round; Brett Margin missed 12 birdie putts; Jan Van Den Berg wiped the 1st and 2nd holes and had 4/4 on the 3rd; Kay Baillie had 20 points on the front 9; Garry Baillie had two 4 pointers; Fay Bailey had a birdie on the 15th; Wally Bailey had a lot of 3 pointers; Kath Payn had good company; Col Matterson had birdies on the 7th and the 18th; Ron Puiatti played steady golf; my highlight was scoring three 3 pointers.
