F-Troop - Monday 21st May 2018

Tree maintenance

We had a beautiful day to do our F-Troop projects today however the cold & flu season has started and we had three down and out, some still away on holidays & a huge tree maintenance project that occupied our tree gang for the whole day.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Steve Hogg, Don Nicholls, Sam Knox, Ron Gowing, Peter Martin, John Hollebon and Jan Martin.

The tree maintenance program was a full days working with a professional tree lopper and a mulching machine.  Other projects were delivery of firewood, repair to the 18th boundary fence, hedge maintenance, cleaning of the area around the clubhouse including the wedding garden and 1st and 10th tees, loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, cleaning of the bush toilets, watering the pots and tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden, watering the bike garden and ladies 9th tee garden, breaking up the clivea bulbs so the plants can be replanted into other gardens after being rescued from the dump.

Morning tea was staggered as the workers arrived and left at various times - thus no photo today. We appreciated a nice morning tea of savoury breads, cakes and iced buns.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
