With Gary & Helen Smith at the 1st Tee

We had a fantastic day for golf today on the Village Green. Blue sky and sunshine and not too hot.
Our playing partners were Gary and Helen Smith who blew the field away today, winning the team event, the Men's Singles and the Ladies Singles - all due of course to the good company that they had. We had many highlights the best of which was Gary's 4 pointer on the 3rd and the other seven 3 pointers he had.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley 2 Ball + Single Stableford for Men and Women.

We had 72 starters with 4 visitors from PGA International, The Coast Golf & Recreation Centre and  Rowes Bay.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: We were one on the last lot of groups to come in today so I did not have time to do my usual interviews around the tables, but let's face it the Smith's have taken out most of the highlights today which one may think was attributed to the company they had on the day - Gary Smith had a 4 pointer on the 4th and 3 pointers at the 4/5/10/14/16/17/18th ( no wonder we lost the keno ticket); Helen Smith had some nice 3 pointers at the 10/12 and 14th; The Runners up in the Team Event - Kevin O'Brien had a chip in for birdie at the 4th and a birdie at the 8th and Lorraine Bignall had a nice birdie on the 5th after a good drive to the green; my highlight was finishing with the same ball I started with, two 3 pointers in a row at the 8th and 9th.
