With Kathy Small and Cheryl Davison at the 1st Tee

Another showery day but thankfully it was not enough to make us bring out the wet gear. My playing partners were Cheryl Davison and Kathy Small who were great company. Our highlight of the day was bringing in Kathy as a winner of her division.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford 2nd Round of the CCWGA Brooch + Veterans in conjunction.

We had 57 starters which was not bad for a showery day.

GOSFORD LADY VETERAN BEST 5 STABLEFORD -  ROUND 2

BALL COMPETITION RESULTS

DIVISION 1 Helen Potter 37pts, Chris Drakeford 36pts, Lyn Bates 35pts

DIVISION 2 Kath Small 35pts, Barb Stratford 32pts, Mona Maher 32pts

DIVISION 3 Nan Richards 32pts, Helen Stuart 25pts, Denise Barr 25pts

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Kathy Small played a nice steady game for her 35 points managing to keep her ball on the fairway for most of the game ( and that was the secret today as the rough was damp and very rough); Lynn Puiatti had a birdie on the 14th; my highlight was that it did not rain heavily, the diamond encrusted clubs played very well ( it was just the user that had the problem) and finishing with the same ball I started with. The greens were challenging today, dead slow and tricky to direct the ball.

There has been a new ruling announced today regarding a change in the Ladies Eagles Nest. The Ladies Eagles Nest hole has now reverted back to the 12th Hole.
