Golf - Sunday 3rd November 2013 - Mixed Foursomes Championship 2013
















Open Day at Gosford Golf Club was held today in conjunction with the Bridal Fair held at
Gosford Racecourse.  The Club was Open to visitors to inspect the Wedding Garden and
the Reception Rooms dressed in a variety of settings and colours.



CLUB MIXED FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP 2013












The Golf Event of the day was the Mixed Foursomes Championship ( or Fearsomes Championships as some would call it)

We had 48 Starters.

RESULTS:

27 HOLE SCRATCH:

CLUB CHAMPIONS 2013: Daniel Bosley & Michelle Toth - 117 points

RUNNERS UP:  Duncan Brown & Nancy Incoll - 120 points on a countback

27 HOLES NETT:

WINNERS:  Duncan Brown & Nancy Incoll - 96 Nett

RUNNERS UP:  Col Matterson & Lauren Matterson - 102 1/2 Nett

9 HOLES SCRATCH:

WINNERS:  Stephen Thomlinson & Di Thomlinson - 41 points on a countback

RUNNERS UP:  Andrew Potter & Michelle Lalor - 41 points on a countback

9 HOLES NETT:

WINNERS:  Arthur Collien & Kay Frewin - 33 1/2 points

RUNNERS UP:  Fraser Bates & Lyn Bates - 35 1/2 points

NEAREST THE PINS:

MEN'S 12TH HOLE:  Leigh Kay

WOMEN'S 5TH HOLE:  Rosalie Dyer

BALLS WENT TO:  72 1/2 Nett

NO HANDICAPPING TODAY.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Duncan Brown & Nancy Incoll did a lot of good putting and Duncan hit a great wedge onto the 3rd green; Col & Lauren Matterson played steady golf; Sam Knox & Glennis English liked the 4th hole with a great shot to the green from the top of the hill; Kay Frewin & Arthur Collien had birdies at the 3rd and the 14th and were not perturbed by the drive on the 9th slipping neatly into a hole at the bottom of the tree; Michelle Toth & Daniel Bosley played beautiful golf with lots of pars; Sheena & Nigel Asken played steady golf; Steve & Di Thomlinson had a birdie on the 6th and had three 3 pointers in a row; John Homer and Wendy Stapleton had birdies at the 9th and the 18th; Rosalie Dyer & Fred Middleton had a birdie on the 14th; Steve Gillham & Jann Henebury finished with the same ball they started with with Steve having a fantastic drive at the 18th to the 150 metre mark, made a nice shot on the 6th to get them out of trouble and Jann backing up with good chip shots and drives; Wally Bailey & Fay Bailey had a par on the 1st with Wally sinking a good long putt; Jan & Peter Martin had 3 pars and enjoyed the company.
