We had a lovely day for golf at our beautiful Gosford Golf Course & we celebrated Melbourne Cup Day in style with a shotgun start at 8.00 am which got us back into the clubhouse in time for lunch and a Fashion Parade of clothes from Sandlewood at East Gosford before settling back with a wine to watch the Melbourne Cup Race. How good can it get!
My playing partners today were Lorraine Bignall, Rosalie Dyer & Georgina Lamb & we had a very enjoyable day on the course where we all contributed for our team score. It was not a good enough score to win but we had some excellent highlights among which were a great second shot on the 4th from Lorraine fading around the dogleg corner to finish in front of the green and a good drive from Jan at the 8th finished up with an excellent putt from Georgina for a birdie. We had a lot of fun and came in for lunch dressed as jockeys to give a different theme to Melbourne Cup Day. It was a fun day.
The Event of the day was a Team Ambrose and we had 52 starters with visitors from Wyong and West Australia.
