Golf - Sunday 18th September 2011

We had a rather weird day of weather - rain free thankfully, but started out very hot with a cooling wind that changed to gusty winds and quite cool towards the end of the day.

Our playing partners were Des & Yvonne Wilson and we had a very entertaining day with girls holding their own at the half way mark.  Peter & Des played well with Des getting three birdies which were good highlights for the day and Yvonne & I scoring 26 points for our team event for the first nine holes.  The boys won the Keno Ticket on the 16th which we were happy to give them because they both played well with some great shots to the green.

The Golf Event of the day was a2 Ball Team + Single Stableford Mixed Men and Ladies.

We had 79 starters with 2 visitors from Magenta Shores & Mangrove Mountain.

Given the fact that two rather deadly snakes have been spotted on the fairways this week we should be vigilant where we walk at this time of the year as the new found warmth in the weather is bringing some of the creepy crawlies out of winter hibernation.  Take due care.
