Golf - Saturday 19th March 2011

Rain at last, not good for golf, but very good for our water supply, the fairways and gardens. We had some very heavy rain during the day which forced a lot of players off the course which was a shame, however some good scores did come in.

I have attached a photo of the bower bird lovenest in my garden for those of you who have been following the proceedings. It seems that the romance is over.....either the deed is done or he has given up in disgust. I always leave his blue collection items for him to attract his female for the next breeding season. (equivalent to diamonds in human terms - are you paying attention boys!)

Some more photos of my roses - the red & pink roses are blooming predominately this week.

The Golf Event of the day was a Men's Single Par + 2 Ball Team.

We had 99 starters with one visitor from Ryde Parramatta. Rain washed out the afternoon players. 36 players completed the 18 holes.
